The Enterprise Gym gave me an opportunity I never expected to encounter at University. Through all the workshops, I discovered qualities and capabilities I never knew I had and my career development horizon extended greatly from what I previously believed would occupy my future. The world of entrepreneurship too became much more understandable and attractive to me, especially when one myth was busted: it is not about how genius your idea is; it is all about how far you would like to reach with it and whether you are ready to put enough effort to make it work!!!!

I started attending the Enterprise Gym training workshops just in time, because I managed to implement a lot from what I have learned into the creation of a new society on campus: Diplomats@Dundee.  I have met quite a few people who shared similar interests to me, but were not necessarily Politics students and who experienced an identical problem: lack of funds to attend international conferences. I decided to start up an organization which enables us to fundraise as a group and contribute to the development of a positive image of the University’s Politics department.  A semester later, due to our hard work, we have managed to send three delegations to London International Model United Nations, Scotland Model United Nations and Model European Union 2011, held in Strasbourg in the very heart of the European Community – the EU Parliament.
