CUTTING EDGE TALENT COMES TO DUNDEE - 2007-11-14

Charlie Taylor is one of Britain’s best hairdressers and has aptly featured for many years in the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame as well as winning Scottish Hairdresser Of The Year three times to date. Dundee’s salon is one of four shops owned along with her husband Alastair Taylor with their busiest centre for development in Perth. This being said, Dundee’s shop is at the cutting edge of fashion as it is a training ground for aspiring stylists meaning that local clients get glimpses at up and coming fashion styles before they break out.

This Wednesday 14th November all this talent comes to the University of Dundee to inspire staff and students on Women’s Enterprise Day. From 2pm in DUSA’s Liar Bar, Charlie will give us an insight into what makes her so successful in the competitive market of hair and beauty. This topic will no doubt generate vast interest from all areas of the University and throughout the city of Dundee and we will keep everyone updated on the happenings from the events via our website www.enterprise-gym.com.

These ‘Supercoach’ events, focus on inviting members of the local business community along to the University to give students the ‘inside scoop’ on business success. They are always highly popular and students benefit greatly from this contact with their peers and receive valuable and often essential knowledge that allows them to move on and even start up their own enterprises after attaining that all important degree. It’s not all serious though, as we often have a high social element in all our activities and always offer networking and a more personal one on one basis via a walk around buffet lunch with free food and drink after the main talk. We are all looking forward to the talk and many other events that we have happening from the 12th to the 16th of November during our Enterprise Week and feel that the support and input from these local business icons is an invaluable asset to Dundee’s student community.
