How do I earn Points?

All participation and learning at the Enterprise Gym is recognised through out credit point system. Depending on the type of learning and the time commitment required, different numbers of points are allocated to different activities. Similarly, different numbers of points are required within each activity to achieve Marathon status – the highest level of achievement in a single activity.

Practice Points

Our Discovery Challenge and Training Workshops are each worth 5 credit points. To achieve a Marathon status you must attend all 8 workshops, giving you a total of 40 credit points.

Theory Points

Our Enterprise Theory is worth 4 credit points per quiz passed (80% pass mark). There are 11 quizzes making a total of 44 credit points available. To achieve a Marathon status, you must pass all 11 quizzes, hence attaining 44 credit points, in under 110 minutes (total time).

Project Points

Unlike Practice and Theory, project requirements are not “set on stone”. Each project is looked at individually and upon successful completion of a project of suitable complexity, 40 credit points are awarded – enough to qualify for Marathon status.

Virtual Points

Unlike our other activities where credit points are awarded based on successful completion of activities, in Virtual points are awarded based on the standard attained within a single activity - Virtual Enterprise. We measure success in Virtual by profit attained after a virtual 12 month period of running your business.

Achievement Credit Points Profit
Marathon 40 £130,000 +
¾ Marathon 30 £100,000 - £129,999
½ Marathon 20 £65,000 - £99,999
¼ Marathon 10 £30,000 - £64,999
Heats 5 Completion 12 month period - £29,999

Networking points are gained by attending a variety of events. A Marathon in Networking is achieved based on attendance at 8 after-workshop drinks, 4 DS3C events, 4 Supercoach Sessions, and 2 Special Training Workshops. It is not however necessary to attend all of these to reach a Marathon. Networking credit points can also be gained by attendance at Business Surgeries and external events.
